Is Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse the best animated film of the year?

In my opinion HELL YEAAAAA!!! I personally loved this movie and soon as I left the theater I instantly thought this. Disney may actually get dethrone at the Oscars for best animated film. Wreck it Ralph was meh to me and Incredibles 2 is a really good movie but not as good as Into the Spider-Verse to me. Nothing else comes close honestly. Hotel Transylvania? Small foot? Teen Titans Go? 😂

Yeah, I'd take Isle of Dogs or The Night is Short, Walk On Girl...but Spider-Man was a killer trippy 3D experience

I think it should sweep all animated awards. I have 3 kids so I see almost all animated movies that come out. Spider-verse was visually and stylishly amazing. I cant imagine how long it took to create.

I thought it was a great movie. Not a great animated movie, a great movie. Fairly solid script. Great sound track. Beautiful visuals. My favorite Spider man flick by far.

I would say Teen Titans Go was a solid animated movie. I liked Spidey more though.

The animation was good, I hated the plot. I felt like there were a lot of plot holes and left the theatre disappointed in Sony.

Definitely best animated film in my opinion. But animated movie aside, this is one of the best movies of the year in general!!!!

Really liked it. I don't watch much animation movies. Only downside was could've been edited down 10 or so minutes. Little too long.

I actually found it about on par with Isle of Dogs, which still beats Wreck it Ralph and Incredibles 2 out of the park (because they're sequels and don't deserve to win).

Yes, but I wonder if the Academy will give it recognition. They frequently ignore comic book movies and show massive favoritism towards Pixar. I wouldn't be surprised if Incredibles 2 wins.

I think it's visually the most stylish, but the story is very generic. I would say overall Isle of Dogs is the better film.

Spider Verse being overrated...Glad finally someone other than me said this. You can't know how good i feel right now, seeing someone else other than me had the balls to say that movie is not as good as people make it out to be.

I hope it doesn't, it was a fun movie, but the 14FPS animation really chafes my eyeballs, and I don't want it to be recognized and someone in holloywood to think it was a good idea.
